Join Deana for a sound healing and restorative workshop designed to bring compassion, self love, and balance into your life. Anahata (heart chakra) is the energy center that governs the relationship we have with ourselves and others.

When this energy center is pessimistic we can be intolerant, fear intimacy and suffer from depression. When this energy center is hyper-active we can be clingy, jealous and demanding of others. When balanced, our lives are balanced and we are both compassionate and self accepting. The entire practice including the asana, restorative poses, visualizations and meditation will be designed to bring balance to this energy center.

The practice begins with a gentle flow followed by restorative poses utilizing bolsters, eye pillows and hands on assist and will end with a meditation technique practiced in Savasana.

• $40 early registration / $50 day of event

Get to know your instructor:

Deana entered into the journey of yoga through meditation. Her enthusiasm for quiet time, physical, and emotional wellness is of utmost importance. As a Holistic Psychotherapist, she embraces the relationship between the mind, body and spirit.

Deana’s practice has increased her sense of connection with total being, breath, and movement. The yoga style she teaches is uncomplicated; most influenced by Vinyasa, and Anusara. Students can expect to sweat, and have fun through creative sequences, and deep core work.
Deana completed the 200-hour Teacher Training at South Boston Yoga, under the tutelage of David Vendetti and Todd Skoglund, in May 2012.

Deana received her 500-hour Certificate in Advanced Vinyasa Training, led by Jacqui Bonwell, Rolf Gates and influenced by David Vendetti, in June 2014. Recently, she completed her second 500 hour certificate from Sacred Seeds Yoga School, led by Jacqui Bonwell, The program included Yin Yoga, and Balanced Athlete.

She holds a Reiki Master Certificate as a teacher and practitioner. Deana credits all of her teachers with helping her love and passion for yoga take root. She cannot express the magnitude of appreciation for yoga and what it has done for her life.
